Clarksville is the county seat of Montgomery County, TN & the 5th largest city in the state.  The population in the 2010 US Census was 132,929.  Clarksville is the 9th fastest growing city in the nation and the principal city in the TN-KY metropolitan statistical area, which is the 10th fastest growing MSA in the nation.  The city was incorporated in 1785 & named for General George Rogers Clark.  It's one of the South's most historic cities, home to Austin Peay State University and neighbor to Fort Campbell military base. Ft. Campbell is home of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) located 10 miles from downtown Clarksville, on the TN/KY border.
